Dedicated to Jim Swan

After completing my enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, I returned to my hometown and reconnected with my lifelong friend, Becky. I shared with her my desire to study the Bible, and she introduced me to her father’s dear friend, Rev. James C. Swan. Jim was an ordained Baptist Minister who happened to be blind. Through his unique vision of the world, Jim taught me the importance of memorizing scripture, an appreciation for working dogs, and having a great sense of humor. Forty years later Jim still has a huge impact on my everyday life. Jim passed away in 2022, but his legacy lives on in this book.
